Do Not take Aspirin or NSAID’s such as Ibuprofen one week prior to your surgery. You may take tylenol. Please inform your surgeon if you are taking any blood thinners including Coumadin (Warfarin), Plavix, or Pradaxa.

Do Not eat or drink anything after midnight the day prior to surgery. You may take your moring medications with a sip of water. If you drink or eat before surgery, likely your case will be cancelled.

Please do not shave the surgical site prior to surgery. If it is necessary to shave the surgical site, the nurse in the operating room will shave it on the day of surgery.

Check with your surgeon or anesthesiologist if it is ok to take your medicines the day of surgery. It is ok to take high blood pressure medications the morning of surgery.
